Aprilia Mana 850 description

2009 Aprilia Mana 850 in excellent condition. One owner; clear title in hand.  Bike was bought for my wife who decided to go to a Can Am Spyder instead. Bike has been pampered, never abused in any way. T-Rex sliders and an AF-1 lowering link have been installed but factory link will be included. (Bike does sit a little tall for shorter riders with the factory link installed). Bike gets excellent gas mileage and is a blast to ride. Only reason for selling is her change of ride. Bike was bought from Riders Hill / European Motorsports of Dahlonega, Georgia on April 4, 2012 and still has the remainder of the two year warranty.

From the factory, the paint on the tank (clam shell) was developing chips and then we scratched the left side body panel. Also, the factory color wasn't exactly red. Aprilia called it 'Passion Red' and to me it looked orange-red. After the scratch, we decided to have the panels painted true red so now it is a beautiful Ferrari red-red and the Aprilia graphics are painted in Mercedes silver. The bike doesn't look very different from any other Mana until you have it parked next to another one. Then you can tell how much the paint makes the bike 'pop'.

If you live within driving distance of Gadsden, Alabama, I would encourage you to come look at the bike. I don't see any way you could be disappointed after seeing it. Just e-mail me and we can set up a time.

Payment and delivery info: $500.00 PayPal deposit within 24 hours; remainder to be paid in full within 7 days. Verifiable cashiers check or cash only unless mutual agreement is made beforehand (meaning possible bank / wire transfer). Absolutely no personal checks. If you choose to have the bike picked up for delivery, I will help as much as possible but it is the buyers full responsibility for all cost and making the arrangements.

I will be glad to answer any questions about the bike. Just use the 'ask a question' feature and I will answer ASAP.

Used Review: Gaerne G-ike boots

Fri, 01 Jan 2010

This is Gaerne’s entry-level boot and I’ve been wearing it mainly as a commuting tool over the last year and a half. It’s a good-looking boot that looks like a trainer under jeans and is as comfortable as one too.  The G-Ike has plenty of support in the heel from a steel plate in the sole and plenty of thick plastic around the ankle.  I know for a fact having come off an Aprilia Shiver in these that they provide a fair amount of protection though not enough to stop me twisting an ankle. But they’ve held up really well and I’m still happy wearing them though not for winter as they’re far from waterproof and a tad drafty for sub-zero days.

For sale? Zero-mile Aprilia RS250 Cup

Mon, 20 Jan 2014

This zero-mile Aprilia RS250 Cup belongs to a former colleague of mine and he might be willing to sell it. Originally intended for the USA where they ran an RS250 Cup series, this bike was purchased from New Orleans and then shipped to the UK, where it's now in storage just outside of London. Due to the fact it's never turned a wheel in anger, it's something of a one-off.

Aprilia Introducess 2012 World Superbike Team of Biaggi, Laverty and the RSV4

Tue, 07 Feb 2012

Aprilia officially presented its 2012 World Superbike Championship team in Milan, Italy, showcasing its RSV4 superbikes as well as factory riders Max Biaggi and newcomer Eugene Laverty. For Biaggi, the Roman Emperor says he feels motivated to rebound from a difficult 2011 season and regain the title he won in 2010. “It doesn’t matter how many seasons we have under our belts and how many titles we’ve won.
