Aprilia sxv 550 description

2007 Aprilia SXV 550, Excellent Condition 2007 SXV 550 - This auction is for one excellent condition 2007 Aprilia SXV 5.5. This bike is a 2007, but has had the engine replaced under Aprilias recall campaign. In other words, this bike does not have any of the typical 2007 SXV / RXV case sealant issues, and is a factory black sealant bike. This SXV has 3541 miles and is in excellent condition. The tires are like new, brakes, chain and sprockets are all in great shape. The motorcycle starts, runs, and rides great. It has a full Akrapovic exhaust system, and is mapped correctly. It looks great, and doesnt appear to ever have been down. However, the previous owner did cut the stock license plate bracket and re-drill holes to keep the tag closer, and the left rear turn signal was broken and is taped on. Otherwise, this bike is above average for its age and miles.

Small steps to a bright future

Tue, 16 Nov 2010

A small but very significant addition to the BSB paddock in 2010 has been the Racing Steps Foundation GP125 team.  RSF is an organisation founded by wealthy businessman Graham Sharp, to help talented youngsters with no funding make their way up the motorsport ladder. As a boy, Sharpe wanted to become a racing driver but soon realised without a serious amount of cash, this was virtually impossible. He never forgot this dilemma so is now in the business of making dreams come true for young UK racers in Karting, GP2 and Motorcycle Racing.

Max Biaggi Announces Retirement

Wed, 07 Nov 2012

Max Biaggi will retire as a champion, announcing his decision to step away from the sport after winning his second World Superbike Championship by just half a point. The man known as the Corsair and the Roman Emperor announced his retirement this morning at a press conference at the Vallelunga circuit near Rome, Italy. Biaggi ends his 21-year international racing career with six world championships, with four consecutive 250cc Grand Prix titles from 1994 to 1997 to go along with his 2010 and 2012 WSBK titles.

Old boys up front and where are the new 600 Gixers?

As I’ve been gagging for the new race season to kick off so it was almost a pleasure getting up at stupid 0 clock to watch the World Superbike Championship  opener at Phillip Island last weekend. I have to say Messrs Burnicle and Whitham were on form although I was disappointed there were none of the usual verbal attacks on each other that always add to the entertainment.    I’m sure they will put things right soon but the world superbike regulars must have been disheartened that Moto GP veterans nailed five of the six available rostrum slots.
