1991 BMW K75s This bike is a great survivor. It is far from a show bike, but a good, well-maintained driver. I have owned the bike for about 5 years and put about 5000 miles on it. These bikes are rare, smooth sport touring machines and are very reliable. They have aluminum fuel tanks so no worries about rust in the fuel system. They are shaft drive and fuel-injected. It always starts at the push of the button. Tires are Metzler Lasers and are in good shape. This bike has had regular oil changes and air filter replacements. I am not sure how accurate the odometer is as far as original miles, but it works. As I said, the paint is not perfect and the Corbin seat shows wear, but it is a special old BMW that needs to be passed to another good home. Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
2011-2012 BMW K1600GT, K1600GTL Recalled in Canada for Engine Stall Issues
Thu, 31 Oct 2013BMW is recalling the 2011-2012 K1600GT and K1600GTL in Canada because of a risk of the engine stalling. At the moment, a recall has only been confirmed for Canada, though we expect a similar recall to come for the U.S. market from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
