1999 Bmw K-series on 2040-motos
BMW K-Series tech info
BMW K-Series description
This bike is loaded with it all. Electric windshield moves up and down, heated grips, pass. stereo controls, electronic cruise control, pass. arm rests, lots of room in the bags, luggage rack, trip computer. reverse gear for backing up, center and side stand, side adjustable wind deflectors, and much more. The stereo even has speed sensitive volume controls so you don't have to turn it down when slowing down. It is a dream to ride, smooth, fast and powerful. The gel seats make it the most comfortable ride of any bike on the road. The only reason I'm selling is to get a newer bike of the same model. This is your chance to affordably get one of the nicest bikes on the road, I get attention everywhere I ride. Come look at it, or contact me with any questions. This is a no reserve auction. |

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes
Sat, 01 Nov 2008KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
Americade Begins Tomorrow, Saturday June 1st
Fri, 31 May 2013The “World’s Largest Touring Rally,” Americade, begins tomorrow, June 1. For the first time ever, the event will be a week-long event filled with guided rides, parties, events, giveaways, and so much more. Centered in and around Lake George Village in upstate New York, Americade takes full advantage of being on the doorstep of the Adirondacks, providing gorgeous mountain vistas and plenty of activities on and off the bike.
The future. But we can't have it
Thu, 10 Nov 2011It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
