BMW K-Series tech info
BMW K-Series description
The 2006 BMW K1200LT is powered by BMW Motorrad's powerful, smooth
water-cooled four-stroke inline four that puts out 1,172cc of displacement and
makes 116 horsepower and 86 lb/ft of torque. Premium fuel provides the go,
while twin disc floating disc brakes up front and single disc floaters out back
make the whoa! Stability on the bike is helped out by BMW Motorrad ABS brakes
which are fully integrated into the brake system, bringing the BMW K1200LT's
1,322 potential pounds of bike, riders, and equipment to a safe, quick stop.
The tank holds 6.2 gallons of fuel, with a 1 gallon reserve, giving the BMW
K1200LT a range well in excess of that particularly seedy looking gas station
you just really don't want to stop off at. 2006 BMW K1200LT - Specifications Engine Drivetrain Frame & Suspension Brakes Wheels & Tires |

New naked BMW spotted on track days
Sat, 03 Sep 2016The future generation of the "1-liter" naked BMW S1000R was spotted during the development tests on the territory of the German racing "ring" Oschersleben. Apparently, the Bavarian streetfighter will receive a number of technical solutions that his older brother, the BMW S1000RR, was endowed with a couple of years ago. Just as the current generation of the SR was created on the base of the previous SR-era, the 2017 modification will actually become a stripped version of today's sportbike.
AC Schnizter lets rip with BMW S1000RR goodies
Wed, 24 Mar 2010GERMAN TUNING house AC Schnitzer has unveiled a gaggle of bolt-on accessories for the BMW S1000RR superbike. The kit comprises of: Stealth silencer, Superbike steering conversion, clutch and brake levers, crashpads, Performance Sports Air Filter, mirror extensions, brake fluid - need we go on. There's even a top yoke mounted bar kit for those that don't want to reach down to the standard bike's low clip-ons.Sounds all fine and dandy if you've a heap of cash to chuck at what's already an expensive machine.Call us boring but isn't a 'standard' one good enough?
Used Review: Clover GT3 jacket
Fri, 01 Aug 2008I’ve been wearing this waterproof textile jacket since March and it’s performed very well. The silver colour shows up dirt something rotten, there’s a stark lack of useful pockets and the cut is quite square, but as a jacket to keep the cold and water out it’s been right up to the job. It’s my daily commuting top, one of those jackets you throw on without thinking about it, and now that it’s summer I can’t see the point in getting a replacement anytime soon.
