BMW K-Series description

Very good condition BMW K1200S and priced to sell. As you can see in the pictures this K1200S is a tri-color edition (a $590 option), what you can't see is it has ESA (electronic suspension adjustment)$800, ABS $1040, Heated Grips $235 and OBC (on board computer)$275. This bike came loaded with almost $3000 in factory options! All recalls have been performed and the service is up to date, I had the valve clearance checked, spark plugs replaced and engine coolant replaced last spring at Max BMW in Troy, NY ($628 receipt included). I never skimped on maintenance always using synthetic engine oil and BMW recommended final drive fluid etc. Everything works as it should, new battery last summer and the tires are in decent shape with about 50% tread remaining. According to NADA the low book on this bike with options is $6,139 with a high book of $8,118 so my starting bid is very low. Bike was never raced and most of the miles on the bike are from touring (see my other auctions for touring accessories), search online and you will find many people have put over 100,000 miles on these bikes. The only reason I'm selling is because I'm planning on taking longer trips so I bought a more touring oriented sport tourer. Please ask all questions before bidding, while I can't provide shipping I'll gladly help your shipping agent any way I can. $250 deposit via PayPal within 48 hours required.

AMA Superbike: 2012 Daytona Results

Tue, 20 Mar 2012

Josh Hayes and Blake Young picked things up where they left off by trading wins at the 2012 season-opening AMA Superbike round at Daytona International Speedway. Reigning champion Hayes of Monster Energy Graves Yamaha took the first race handily, leading almost right from the start of the 15-lap race for the win. Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young, who finished second to Hayes in the 2011 AMA Superbike Championship, responded by taking the second race, but only by a slim 0.002-second margin.

AC Schnizter lets rip with BMW S1000RR goodies

Wed, 24 Mar 2010

GERMAN TUNING house AC Schnitzer has unveiled a gaggle of bolt-on accessories for the BMW S1000RR superbike. The kit comprises of: Stealth silencer, Superbike steering conversion, clutch and brake levers, crashpads, Performance Sports Air Filter, mirror extensions, brake fluid - need we go on. There's even a top yoke mounted bar kit for those that don't want to reach down to the standard bike's low clip-ons.Sounds all fine and dandy if you've a heap of cash to chuck at what's already an expensive machine.Call us boring but isn't a 'standard' one good enough?
