BMW K-Series description

2008 BMW K1200S model in excellent condition.
Adult owned (age 52) and operated. This is one of many bikes that I own and my 5th BMW sport touring bike. As stated the bike is in excellent condition with no damage, blemishes or scratches. The bike has never been dropped, down or involved in any kind of accident. Dealer maintained with full records. Recent oil change and new Michelin Pilot Sport PS4 tires. The bike has many upgrades to include a Sargent leather seat and rear locking cowl (factory seat included), Remus Carbon Fiber exhaust, MRA windscreen, various carbon fiber parts and aftermarket clutch and brake levers. The bike is light and agile and a lot of fun to ride. It is fast and even as an experienced rider this bike is not for the faint of heart! The sound of the Remus pipe is really nice and throaty but not too loud. See specifications of bike below:

John Surtees to Lead Classic Vehicle Parade Fundraiser

Fri, 03 May 2013

Motorsports legend John Surtees will lead a parade of classic cars and motorcycles – including Surtees’ 1960 500cc Grand Prix Championship-winning MV Agusta – in his home town of Edenbridge, England. Surtees is the only person to have ever won world championships in both Grand Prix motorcycle racing and Formula One, and the parade will feature cars and bikes from his time as both a racer and a racing team owner. Surtees himself will drive the Team Surtees TS7, a F1 car constructed by his own team that debuted at the 1970 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.

Greg Tracy to Ride Amarok P1A Electric Sportbike for Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

Canada’s Amarok Racing has secured quite a coup in signing six-time Pikes Peak International Hill Climb winner Greg Tracy to ride its P1A electric superbike for the 2013 edition of the event. Tracy has six class victories in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, winning in 1996, 1999, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. His victories have come riding motorcycles from several manufacturers: Honda, Yamaha, BMW and, more recently, Ducati.

Ridden: BMW R1200GS Adventure

Fri, 07 Oct 2011

My first meeting with a BMW GS was an unfortunate one. It was going back a few years now (certainly pre-Charlie McGregor era) Having just picked up this new model, I’d ridden 100 miles on a warm summer’s evening to reach my house by dusk. Mindful of the fact that said house contained two frenetic, bark-happy border collies and a small, sleeping child, I cut the ignition, whipped the clutch in and planned a gentle coast up to the area outside my front door.
