BMW K-Series description

For sale is my immaculate like-new K1300S. 3150 miles means its pretty much just broken in for a new owner. Not a scratch or ding on her. Garage kept and babied. I bought it to ride with some friends, but then moved away and haven't picked up the hobby again with my priorities changing.

The bike comes with a Sargent after-market seat with rear trunk cowling which is very handy for storage of small items while out riding. It also comes with a titanium and carbon fiber Remus exhaust muffler. Stock seat and muffler comes with the bike. This is almost $2K in aftermarket stuff alone!

I get many compliments when out on the road as it is a fairly rare and interesting bike that other's don't see too often. Not to mention the oo's and ah's when you talk about the specs and engineering.

This model comes with the power shifter, electronic adjustable suspension, anti-lock brakes, heated grips, and traction control.

Gold Rush

Tue, 27 Nov 2012

Spotted at this year's Motorcycle Live. The 'net is awash with gold-wrapped and horrendously painted supercars, often sporting Middle-Eastern numberplates but this S1000RR isn't an Arab creation. Nope, it's a one-off paintjob by BMW for the 2012 Olympics, where BMW supplied cars and bikes to ferry around VIPs.

BMW S1000RR drag bike

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

Whilst stretched out bikes aren't that popular over here in the UK, you can certainly appreciate them a whole lot more more when you know they're going to be used at a drag strip. This video shows bike builder and ex-racer Roland Sands work his magic on a BMW S1000RR. Future plans are to increase the engine to 300bhp, and achieve speeds of 220mph.
