Great ergonomics and plenty of luggage capacity for the long haul, and amazing handling to take your tour into the tight twisties. The engine has tons of torque at lower RPM. And the power keeps on coming all the way through the rev range. This one is nicely maintained, and it is in really nice condition. It has loads of features like electronic cruise control, electronically adjustable windshield, heated grips, electronic suspension adjustment which lets you choose different levels of stiffness for different riding conditions, and an on-board computer to let you know MPG, miles-to-empty, average MPH, ambient temperature, and engine oil level. FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements

The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.

2014 BMW R nineT Production Begins

The first production models of the BMW R nineT roadster have rolled off the assembly line in Berlin. The R nineT is a special model for BMW, representing the company’s 90 years in the motorcycle industry, so it’s no surprise the start of production was made with much fanfare. BMW invited 100 guests including the team from German customization studio Urban Motor to watch assembly of the first three units of the R nineT including the final dynamometer testing where more than 1,000 different parameters are measured before a motorcycle can be released.
