Tarmac, offroad, stones and sand: These are the challenges the new BMW R 1200 GS Adventure is longing to master with its easy and agile handling. A machine for those who want to test their limits and go beyond them. Or to put it briefly: A motorcycle for riders who are seeking real adventure and don't want to miss out on a great deal of riding pleasure in the process. Conquer any type of terrain on an enduro which meets all your practical needs. Two standard-fitted ride modes – "Rain" and "Road" – are available at the press of a button and offer two completely different, finely tuned riding experiences. It's like having two motorcycles in one. Further riding modes are also available as an option. 7.9 gallons in the fuel tank combined with the engine's optimized fuel efficiency really make you "unstoppable" on and off the road making unwanted stops a thing of the past. In addition the standard level of equipment was improved, e.g. to include an on-board computer. This enables perfect navigation and provides the rider with useful data such as fuel level, average speed and fuel consumption. This travel enduro is rounded off by a newly integrated compartment above the tank which allows you to keep small items within reach at all times. The R 1200 GS Adventure responds dynamically in any situation thanks to the legendary 92 foot pounds of flat-twin torque and 125 bhp delivered by the new, air/liquid-cooled two-cylinder four-stroke engine. BMW Reports Q1 2012 Results
Thu, 03 May 2012We already know BMW started 2012 off with a record first quarter with 24,373 motorcycles sold, with an additional 2,642 units from its Husqvarna subsidiary. BMW‘s quarterly report now reveals the U.S. accounted for 3,429 units sold in the first three months of the year, a 47.9% increase from 2,319 units over the same quarter of 2011.
BMW Concept e Electric Scooter Revealed

Here's the skinny from BMW: GS Dry Suit: The all-new GS Dry Suit is ideally suited to new and younger riders; offering traditional BMW Motorrad design, comfort and safety and, above all, fantastic value for money. Crafted from breathable, tough Cordura 500 fabric, the GS Dry Suit is ready to take on any weather and terrain, featuring a wind and waterproof C.A.R.E Climate membrane and BMW Motorrad’s own NP protectors. Further small, but welcome, design touches include stretch inserts, air vents, reflective panels, leather paneling on high-wear areas on the legs and a selection of internal and external waterproof pockets. The GS Dry Suit, available in a selection of colours and sizes for both men and women, costs £750. GS Dry Glove: New for 2013 is the GS Dry Glove, a hybrid textile/leather blend with the outstanding Gore-Tex X-Trafit membrane. Offering protection from the elements on and off-road, the GS Dry Glove features abrasion-resistant SuperFabric on the hand and memory foam for impact protection.
