BMW CRASH BARS / ENGINE GUARDS Selling a nice set of crash bars. I took these off a 1960 R69. The chrome is in decent condition, minor scuffs. Very usable. Scuffs are on the bottom, not noticeable. Comes with original 4 clamps, the other two you will need are a standard u-bolt clamp that all hardware stores sell for about $2.00. Please do not ask for shipping quotes, this can vary so much, depending on if I'm shipping to Fla or Calif. I would guess that shipping and handling will be around $40-$45. It’s pretty interesting to see the way a Evo and Twin Cam V twin Harley Davidson engine works. He also has up the crazy BMW flat twin R100 motorcycle engine which seems more complicated then an engine should be!
2011-2013 BMW F800GS and F700GS Recalled in Canada
Wed, 19 Jun 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2011-2013 BMW F800GS and the 2013 F700GS because of a problem with the kickstand ignition cut-off switch. The switch is designed to turn off the engine when the stand is down and the motorcycle is shifted into gear; this prevents the motorcycle from being ridden with the kickstand deployed. On certain BMW F800GS and F700GS models however, the cut-off switch can loosen and become damaged.
