BMW Partners with India’s TVS Motor, Plans Sub-500cc Models

  BMW announced it has signed a long-term agreement with Indian manufacturer TVS Motor to develop and produce small-displacement motorcycles. The two companies have been in discussions for several months now, but alliance is only now official. Under the agreement, BMW and TVS will work together to develop a new model with an engine displacement smaller than 500cc.

NHTSA Proposes Minimum Sound Standards for Electric Vehicles

The burgeoning electric vehicle industry may bring about the opposite now, with governments proposing minimum sound levels for the mostly silent-running electric cars and motorcycles. BMW C650GT Recalled in Canada for Loose Luggage Rack Fasteners

Transport Canada announced a recall for the 2013 BMW C650GT scooter because of a problem with its accessory luggage rack mounting. On certain units, the fasteners which secure the luggage rack to the rear of the passenger grab rail may loosen over time. This may lead to the rack, and any cases attached to it, to fall off, potentially striking other vehicles, pedestrians or other objects.
