Very nice patina'd old Airhead BMW R60/2. Title follows the triple numbers matching R50/2 that is started out as. The previous Owner has the motor rebuilt to R60 specs when he had the motor gone through. He did not have the paperwork so I do not have it either. You can visually see the R60 cylinders on the motor and it runs beautifully. Since I've owned the bike, I've replaced the tires, all cables, battery, battery strap, air filter and cork base, plugs, plug caps, and had the carbs balanced. The bike starts on one or two kicks.
Like I mentioned in the description, the bike is unrestored. It cleans up nice and as a 10 footer admirable quality. Its a 50 year old bike with some nice looking patina. There are scratches here and there, and dent on the tank and some on the fenders. I have some more parts like springs and shocks and such that can go with the bike. |

The 'net is awash with gold-wrapped and horrendously painted supercars, often sporting Middle-Eastern numberplates but this S1000RR isn't an Arab creation. Nope, it's a one-off paintjob by BMW for the 2012 Olympics, where BMW supplied cars and bikes to ferry around VIPs.
2014 WSBK Provisional Entry List – 27 Riders and 9 Manufacturers
Thu, 30 Jan 2014The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) released a provisional entry list for the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers. Of these riders, 12 are riding in the new EVO sub-category which limits engine upgrades and electronics to Superstock class rules.
