BMW R-Series description

1971 BMW R75/5 with 20k on bike and 0 on motor! The beetle key is still crisp in switch.  Built from someone else's forgotten project. It was found at the swap meet in LBC probably ten years ago, the plate says 76 on it. I assume it had a short life and was left for dead, now it's selling here as a strong running candidate to make stock or your dream cafe bike! This is the quietest /5 I've ever heard and a very strong electrical system to go with it. It is a matching numbers bike with plenty of new parts to get you started on the road.

New cables
New tires and tubes
New battery
Carbs cleaned
New head steering bearings and swing arm bolts sorted.
Nice Zuena pipes and headers
Tanks clean inside
New bars
New seat cover and comes with some of aluminum pieces i dug up for it.
Final drive is like new!
Bill of sale  Far out of system  If you need a CA title will have to discuss it

The things i didn't touch

Forks
Gearbox
Final drive unit
Wiring

On the brief dry sections of our ride the 023 seemed to get up to working temperature rapidly and delivered good dry grip, certainly more than enough for most road riders if you are honest about your riding ability.

For years now, the motorcycle industry has had to design its motorcycles and their exhaust systems to stay below government-mandated sound levels, particularly with off-road motorcycles. The burgeoning electric vehicle industry may bring about the opposite now, with governments proposing minimum sound levels for the mostly silent-running electric cars and motorcycles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a which operates under the auspices of the U.S.
