BMW R-Series description

Up for sale is a 1973 BMW R75/5 Toaster tank model motorcycle. It was a one owner bike. Parked about 5 years ago due to health issues. Was running fine when parked. Motor turns over with lots of compression. Shifts through the gears. Clutch/ brakes work as they should.Only 22,734 miles. Rear tire looks to be almost new. Front has some dry rot. Throttle snaps back, inside of gas tank is clean. It was a well cared for machine. Looks to have stainless steel Mufflers. Denfeld bags. Most likely with a carburetor cleaning and a battery should get her going again. It has matching numbers, 2999425. Clear title. Overall the condition is nice, but not perfect. Little to no rust, worst spot is the spokes. Aluminum rims are straight, no dents. Gas tank may have a few tiny dings. Pipes are solid. Has tool kit and air pump still under the seat, With some TLC would make a great vintage BMW! Please see all pictures before bidding. Also if you are looking for a certain pre 1985 motorcycle, just let me know or go on my website... www.1stkickcycles.com .The bike is Sold as is. Email with Any questions. Please the payment must be made within 5 days of close of auction. Shipping is the buyers reasonability.

Originally formed in 1992 by entrepreneur Olivier Midy, Midual was an obscure French brand best known for introducing a 875cc roadster concept in 1999. What made the concept noteworthy was the company’s decision to use a transversely-mounted flat-twin engine.

BMW S1000RR Valve Train Working at High RPM [video]

Tue, 23 Feb 2010

I’d like to ramble on about a dozen different things relating to this video, but the 3- minute, 19-second clip speaks for itself. However, once the engine is revving at high rpm, watching the cams, finger followers and valve springs seemingly freeze in action due to the incredible speeds, I was reminded of that whole “Dude, the faster I went the more everything around me seemed to slow down,” experience we’ve all heard about or experienced. Enjoy!

2013 BMW F800GS and F700GS Side Stand Switch Recall Expands to US

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

Last month, we wrote about a recall in Canada for the BMW F700GS and F800GS because of a problem with the side stand ignition cut-off switch. As we expected, a similar recall has now been announced for the U.S. market.
