BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
This is a beautiful example of a 1975 BMW R 90/6 motorcycle , it only has 55,000 miles on the odometer but it's had tons of mechanical work done in the last 5000 miles! It has a recovered seat, new drag style handlebars, new chrome motor protector, rebuild carburetors this summer, fires up and runs like a Swiss watch every time ,I would ride this motorcycle anywhere! It is mechanically as solid as the rock of Gibraltar! Check out the pictures of the motor, and you could eat off every bit of it even the undercarriage! 125 pounds of compression on both cylinders, brand-new compression! This bike needs nothing other than a paint job, the red you see is a rattle can job, but is still presentable. The original hard luggage comes with, this is a gem of a /6 BMW ,Low mileage for its age all electrics work ,tires have tons of life left ,really really clean in every way!! I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking , and I know my opening bid is a lot less than it's worth, thanks for the look and if you want a clean vintage Beamer this one is killer !!! Email for more info.

The future. But we can't have it
Thu, 10 Nov 2011It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
More on 2012 BMW S1000RR Recall
Fri, 27 Apr 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has officially announced the recall for the 2012 BMW S1000RR, providing more information about the problem. According to documents released by NHTSA, the bolts on the connecting rods in the BMW S1000RR may come loose because of an anti-corrosive agent applied to the bolts. The anti-corrosive agent may effect the bolt torque, potentially leading them to come loose, particularly at high temperatures or rpms.
