Time to sell my 1975 BMW R90/6. If you are looking for a mid-70's classic BMW, then this is it. All numbers match. Bike has been gone through with a complete cosmetic update, as well as new brake pads in the front, new Metzler front tire, carburetors completely rebuilt and synchronized, new push rod tube rubbers installed, new steering head bearings, new throttle cables, all fluids changed, new filters, newer OEM rear shocks, paint touched up, etc. Front end has been rebuilt with new bushings, seals and has a progressive front suspension installed, and has the much more attractive sport gas tank. The OEM mufflers and Bumm mirrors are in excellent condition, . Bike runs and rides great and mechanically everything works as it should. I do not have the key for the fork lock or seat lock. Seems to have disappeared. I never found a need to lock them anyway. Comes complete with a set of original tools. This is a 40 + year old bike that is in overall great shape! 56,000 original miles. Strong dependable runner. Bike is sold as is, where is, and has no warranty, so please ask any questions before bidding. BMW is marking the launch of its new R1200GS with a contest offering five riders a chance to ride the new GS on one of five international tours. The “One World, One GS” Tour will give five riders the opportunity to be one of the first people in the world to ride the 2013 BMW R1200GS. The tour will take place over five continents: Asia through Laos, Africa through Botswana and South Africa, New Zealand, America through the southwestern states, and Europe from Madrid, Spain to BMW‘s home in Munich, Germany.

2012-2013 BMW S1000RR Recalled for Loose Side Stands

BMW has initiated a recall on the 2012 and 2013 S1000RR because the side stands may not have been correctly installed. According to Transport Canada, the side stand attachment bolts may loosen, causing an S1000RR to fall over while resting on the stand. At the moment, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has yet to announce a recall, but American members of Motorcycle.com‘s S1000RR Forum say U.S.
