For sale is a VIN number triple matched, (engine, frame, and tag) 1976 R60/6, VIN: 4925716, with 5816 miles. (YES! fifty eight hundred and sixteen miles)

The bike is NOT running. This is a great project or parts bike.

We got this project bike from a friend who was going to "Cafe'" it at least 10 years ago. According to him, it was running prior to put away. Unfortunately, He didn't dry up the fuel prior to "tuck away" in his basement. Because of that, the inside of the gas tank will need a new lining, both petcocks were shut and carburetors will need a rebuild. We were planning to part it out, but we found it might have a great potential to be running again with little love. We have too many other projects going so we will have to let someone else taking over this project with passion.

This is a "all there" project bike. The gas tank is actually very solid. The engine turns over smoothly with strong compression. Transmission engages each gear clearly. The position of the nuts on the rocker arms and the almost zero free play between final drive and rear wheel hub tells me that this is a low mileage example, "5816" original miles. All the wires are all there, but it will need to clean up because previous owner told us that he was trying to "eliminate" the turn signals.

There are a videos of this bike on you tube for you to watch. Please search:

The solution to a pricey GPS mount

Wed, 26 Aug 2009

So you've gone out and bought your BMW R1200GS, you're ready to circumnavigate the globe's toughest roads - or ride over some potholes on your way to work - but you've got a dilemma: no way to mount your GPS device! So what you should do is exactly what this chap's done and use a spatula and a few rubber bands to mount-up your GPS for easy use. And the bonus is that when you get to where you're going, you can use the spatula with your BBQ and triple it up as a fly-swatter too.

WSBK: 2012 Phillip Island Results – Video

Mon, 27 Feb 2012

Max Biaggi won the opening race to the 2012 World Superbike Championship while defending champion Carlos Checa came back from a high-speed crash in the first race to win the second at Australia’s Phillip Island circuit. Reigning champion Checa of Althea Ducati had a stunning high-side crash while leading on the sixth lap of Race One. The WSBK paddock was already in shock with the death of 17-year-old Oscar McIntyre in the Superstock 600 race the day before but thankfully Checa was not seriously injured.
