1977 BMW R100/7 with 40k orig miles acquired from an Estate Sale where it sat in a garage since 86'. 100 hrs invested and lots of $$$ in NOS and NEW parts. Torn down to the frame. All bearings new or repacked, New Mac Exhaust, new SS brake-line, rebuilt caliper & master, complete engine re-ring and reseal, Fuel System completely redone, clutch replaced, new wesco battery, new wider bars, all rubber, Dunlop K70'S, splines lubed and transmission resealed, Orignal tool kit, book, & PURCHASE RECEIPTS! Bike was a NW bike. Bought from Bremerton Harley/BMW in 77.
Paint is exceptional with a few scratches where the seat meets the tank. Beautiful bike ready to go riding. Comes with very rare Paint matching Craven bags & mount ( not mounted ). See last pic. Do to so many folks not wanting luggage. I am a vintage BMW mechanic in the NW with 20yrs experience. Worked for BMW of Kirkland, WA in the 90s & now have around 200 vintage clients. Boxer Design Superbob Concept – 158 HP Turbocharged V-Twin
Tue, 29 Nov 2011French firm Boxer Design has unveiled a new 1000cc turbocharged V-Twin concept model at the 2011 Salon de la Moto show in Paris. The Boxer Superbob is powered by a 88-degree V-Twin engine claiming 158 hp at 9500rpm and 92 ft-lb. of torque at 8000rpm.
BMW HP4 Gets New ABS that Works in Corners
Fri, 18 Jul 2014BMW has developed a new anti-lock braking system designed to work when a motorcycle is leaned over into a corner. The new ABS Pro system will initially be offered as a retrofit upgrade on the BMW HP4 sportbike, but it’s likely only a matter of time before the technology becomes available on other models. The ABS Pro uses the same sensors already employed by BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control and Dynamic Damping Control electronic suspension, both of which are already available on the HP4.
