A $500 dollar deposit is due through Paypal immediately upon winning bid or auction.  Complete payment is due in cash or cashiers check / bank check to me upon local pick up in person within 7 days of auction close.  If you need longer you MUST contact me to make arrangements.   All keys and records will be handed over after full payment is made.  I can give recommendations for transportation or lodging if traveling here from out of town to pick up bike.

BMW C650GT and C600 Sport Recalled for Faulty Timing Chain Tensioner

BMW has initiated a recall on 2012-2014 C600 Sport and C650GT scooters because of a problem with their timing chain tensioners. As of this writing, recalls have been announced in Canada and Germany but not for the U.S., though we expect the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will announce a similar recall shortly.

European Motorcycle Market Down 38% Since 2006

New motorcycle registrations in Europe decreased 8.9% in 2011, reaching its lowest level in a decade. And with the state of the economy in Europe, things might get worse. According to provisional numbers released by the European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers, Europeans registered 1.72 million motorcycles, scooters and mopeds in 2011, down from 1.89 million registrations in 2010.

BMW Reports Q2 2012 Results

BMW reported a 8.9% decrease in motorcycle sales revenue over the second quarter of 2012 but still managed a 1.3% increase over the first half. According to German manufacturer’s second quarter report, the BMW and Husqvarna combined for 410 million euros (US$507.7 million) in revenue over the second quarter ended June 30, 2012, a decrease from the 450 million euros reported in the same period last year. Revenues for the first half totaled 858 million euros (US$1.06 billion), a 1.3% year-over-year increase from 847 million euros.
