The R1200CLC is the top Tier of the R1200C lineup of bikes with every option available. It looks runs and rides great. The radio/cd works. Tires are almost new. Of course this has the "HEATED ANDGRIPS” "HEATED SEATS" and there is an accessory ZTechnik Chrome Rack trunk mounted. This bike comes with a clean Title. The MSRP of this bike was originally $16,490!!! Engine, transmission, final drive all in excellent condition. All electrical accessories work perfectly, heat grips, heated seats, cruise control, AM/FM/CD player. The anti-lock brake pump has failed for the rear tire and brakes function in normal manual mode. As previously reported, the German manufacturer sold a record 104,286 units in 2011, with a 7.4% year-on-year growth in the United States alone. According to BMW, the company sold 10,203 units in the U.S., making it the third largest market for BMW, behind Germany (20,002 units) and Italy (13,600 units).
Naked BMW S1000RR Spotted Testing in Italy – Video
Wed, 29 May 2013Italian site Motociclismo.it has published a video of what appears to be a naked version of the BMW S1000RR being tested on public roads in Rovereto, Italy. The test model was dressed in camouflage and appears to be close to being ready for production, especially compared to the earlier prototype spotted testing last summer. We expect BMW will officially unveil this S1000RR-based streetfighter at either the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany, or the EICMA show in Milan, Italy, later this fall.
BMW Announces Trophy for Privateer Racers
Fri, 02 May 2014BMW announced a new competition for privateer racers competing worldwide. Private road racers competing on BMW’s S1000RR or HP4 sportbikes in 15 different series worldwide will earn points based on their results, with the top privateer at the end of the year winning the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy. The trophy represents BMW’s new philosophy towards motorcycle racing which began with the official withdrawal of factory support in the World Superbike Championship.
