BMW R-Series description

Local pick up only.  Sold as is where is.  I have several listings and reserve the right to remove this ad if it sells through one of the other listings.

Motor rebuild by dealership at 30K miles.  Currently has 36K.  It has been my daily driver but always garage kept at night.

Tires in Good shape.

Has factory saddle bags and truck bag.

This is a very comfortable motorcycle for 2. With an electric windshield and heated hand grips and ABS brakes, you can keep yourself and your passenger much dryer in a rain and warmer during the cooler months. My wife prefers to ride with the windshield up, as there is less wind buffeting on the passenger.

I am the second owner, however I have put 34 of the 36 thousand miles on the bike myself.

This bike has had all recommended service cycles done by myself or the BMW dealership in Orlando/Daytona. I have the saddlebags as well as the shown trunk bag and they are in excellent shape.

Charge Up you iPhone While You Ride

Fri, 12 Feb 2010

Motorcyclists can now enjoy total freedom on the open road confident in the knowledge that their cell phones, GPS, MP3 players and latest generation of iPhone/iTouch devices will remain fully-charged and in-service for the duration of the ride thanks to Powerlet’s plug and play systems. “Our product line was inspired by personal experience and the realization that there were no worthwhile options for clean, reliable on-board power for cell phones, stereos and GPS devices,” says Powerlet Products founder Adam Bonislawaski. “Before we came on to the scene, riders would bust out the black tape and wire strippers and cut into their bike’s fragile wiring to tie-in a cheap cigar lighter to power their devices.

BMW introduced an inline six-cylinder café racer concept at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. Inline-six engines have a staple in BMW’s automobiles for decades and the German manufacturer’s motorcycle division took on the challenge of adapting the straight-six to a bike without making it too long or too wide. The result is the BMW Motorrad Concept 6, and an evolution BMW says “will further expand the K-Series in the foreseeable future”.
