Both recalls completed and bike has a service record of regular maintenance. New windshield scratch free. Paint, rims, frame, exhaust all in excellent condition. Bike comes complete with side cases (and interior soft bags) as well as the top case. Garmin GPS mount and power cable installed. (GPS not included - mount only). Metzler tires, seat, and all bags in great condition. Only 40K miles - recent valve adjustment completed, shaft was greased, flushed and changed all fluids. Dainese to Develop Airbag-Equipped Riding Gear for BMW; Technology Coming to BMW Motorcycles in 2015
Wed, 17 Jul 2013BMW announced a new joint project with Dainese that would develop a new line of rider equipment using the Italian company’s integrated airbag technology. The two companies will also be working on integrating the technology to BMW’s motorcycles. The new line will make use of Dainese’s D-Air technology developed by MotoGP racers such as Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.
2006-2009 BMW F800ST and F800S Recalled in Canada
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Transport Canada announced a recall for the BMW F800S and F800ST from model years 2006-2009 because of a problem with the rear wheel. At the moment, the recall has only been confirmed for Canada; we will provide an update if a recall for the U.S. is announced by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
EICMA 2011 Preview: BMW Maxi-Scooters to Debut in Milan
Fri, 14 Oct 2011BMW will present its 2012 lineup at the upcoming EICMA show in Milan, Italy, but the centerpiece will be the company’s first maxi-scooters. The German manufacturer is expected to reveal two scooter models, both derived from the Concept C BMW unveiled at the 2010 EICMA show. The two scooters are expected to be powered by a version of the parallel Twin engine used in the F800R, but with a lower displacement in the 500cc-650cc range.
