BSA Thunderbolt description

1967 BSA Thunderbolt 650. Bike has been stored inside for over 35 years with only 14,124 miles. Both the engine and frame numbers match. The motor was not run during all that time and was frozen. The motor was taken apart and rebuilt with new black diamond valves and guides. Cylinders were bored .020 over and new pistons and rings installed.  New roller bearing was installed in the bottom end.  Replaced points with new Sparx electronic ignition. Also has new coils, plug wires and plugs. New seat, new paint and foot peg rubbers. Tires are in very good condition with some weather checking. Bike has only 200 miles sense rebuild. This bike took a first place trophy at a large bike rally a month ago. The trophy was first place for best classic motorcycle (see pictures). Much work was done to bring this bike back to it’s original stock condition. This bike is in excellent to like new over all condition with  no rust. You wont be disappointed. The Steve McQueen Desert Racer

Tue, 24 Mar 2009

There are few motorcycle icons within pop culture that have endured as vividly as that of the late, great Steve McQueen. A man who was at one time the highest paid actor in Hollywood, he avoided the limelight in favor of immersing himself within his passion for motorcycles. Never afraid of getting dirty, McQueen was at his happiest flogging a bike around the track with fellow racers or tinkering with the machines himself.

Fri, 04 Mar 2022

At last we have a brand new model of the beloved brand: after the success of Royal Enfield and Jawa, the British BSA has returned to service. The single-cylinder classic Gold Star will enter the European market - a spiritual successor to the original company's lineup, but with a completely modern filling. The novelty is equipped with a single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, two overhead camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, a working volume of 652 cm3.
