Bobber Bobber description

For sale is a 2009 Hardknock Kikker 5150 bobber style 3/4 size chopper with a 125cc gas engine that runs great. These motorcycles are bought in kit form from: kikker5150.com. You pick the rolling chassis than add the options you want to complete it. This one has the 125cc. engine that is basically a copy of an ATV engine with a clutchless manual shifting(foot or hand shifter) 4 speed transmission that can run 50+MPH and sounds great with the straight pipe! It has electric start but the battery will need to replaced for that feature to work. It does not need a battery to run and starts right up on the first kick! Extra parts also included is the Jockey shifter option with 8-ball knob, a V-style drag handlebar, a brand new Z handlebar with grips that cost $87, shorter front hydraulic brake line for the lower handlebars, print out of the assembly manual and the speedometer head that has become loose from the base threaded part(maybe repairable?). The only issues I have found is the round aluminum side cover to the fake oil tank under the seat(contains the electronics) is missing and one of the mounting studs to the exhaust pipe is broken(pipe wired on with no problems). All parts are available from the website listed above. The bike looks great but could use a little cleaning and there is some light rust on some of the chrome pieces and hardware. This would make an incredible Christmas present! I had to choose CLEAR TITLE in the above description but these bikes do not come with a title. There is a frame number so you should be able to get one from the MVA if you wanted to put tags on it. I recently bought this from the person that purchased it new for $2191.00(see attached invoice) and am selling it for less than half of that price including the extra parts. I have this listed locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. This is being sold as-is with no warranties or returns so please ask questions before bidding.  U. S. bidders only. This motorcycle must be LOCALLY PICKED UP within 10 days of auction end. If Paypal deposit payment is not received within 2 days of auction end, I reserve the right to relist item. Thanks for looking.

Steve McQueen’s Von Dutch Customized Bikes to be Auctioned Tomorrow

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Here’s an opportunity to own motorcycles associated with Steve McQueen and Von Dutch - need we say more? Get your credit cards out because tomorrow, January 9, 2014, will see a 1923 Indian Big Chief with Princess Sidecar owned by McQueen and fully restored by Von Dutch put on the auction block at the Bonhams Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction. Previously sold at the Steve McQueen Estate Sale in Las Vegas in 1984, the 74cu (1200cc) Indian is “capable of reaching speeds of 90mph.” If McQueen’s coolness factor isn’t enough, having the notoriety of Von Dutch’s restoration is the icing on the cake.

The 2014 edition of the LA Calendar Motorcycle Show continued its now 23-year tradition as the premier outdoor streetbike event in America with producer photographer Jim Gianatsis moving the show this year to the beautiful green lawns of the Malibu Golf Course among the twisty canyon roads in the Santa Monica Mountains alongside the Pacific Ocean. Taking Best of Show in this year’s Calendar Bike Building Championship was Calin Senciac’s Imagine Vehicles International / ImagineVehicles.com motorsports fabrication shop with an incredible custom billet aluminum designed chassis built by Terry Ward and the shop crew, housing a legendary 1979 Honda CBX 1047cc air-cooled in-line 6-cylinder engine.
