2000 Buell Lightning X1/S1, This bike is in excellent shape. Especially for the vintage. Shows only minor normal wear for its age. 11,967 miles. No leaks, no smoke, runs like a top. The following has been done or added within the last 500 miles: Fresh engine oil and filter (Castrol RS 20/50 full synthetic). Fresh primary lube. New K&N air filter. Supertrapp muffler installed. New ProGrip grips. New golf club mirrors. Converted to XB rocker covers and breathers. New NGK plugs and Accel 8.8mm wires. New Lyndall Gold brake pads front and rear. The Pirelli Diablos are in great shape (front is like new, rear is 90%). Also included are the original muffler (it has been cored), another aluminum seat frame (stripped for polishing), and the matching red belly fairing and mounting hardware (has some rock chips on the front lip from the front tire -I like the bike without it installed). Erik Buell Racing Opens European Office

Erik Buell Racing opened a new office in the Netherlands, making the first step towards establishing a foothold for distribution to Europe. Located in Alkmaar, a suburb north of Amsterdam, the new office will help increase brand awareness in Europe while laying the groundwork for eventual expanded distribution across the continent. The office will also play a key role in supporting EBR’s World Superbike Championship team and riders Geoff May and Aaron Yates.

2014 EBR Motorcycles 1190RX Preview

Erik Buell throws another punch at the sportbike market with the impressive new 1190RX revealed today at the inaugural AIMExpo in Orlando, Florida. Although based on the existing low-production 1190RS, EBR reps claim there are 426 new parts on the RX. Highlights include full-color TFT instrumentation, a 21-level traction-control system and an LED headlight.

This weekend, the AMA Pro Roadracing circus makes its way to Road America for round two of the series. Before festivities on track get started, however, here’s your chance to meet Dainese-sponsored rider Geoff May as the D-Store Chicago will be hosting a meet and greet on Thursday, May 30, starting at 4pm. The event will include raffle prizes, with proceeds benefitting W.I.N.G.S., an organization providing integrated services to families, in an effort to end domestic violence and homelessness.
