_________________________________________________________________Cycle Guide has this to say about the Can-Am in the test they did in 1979- An ideal off road motorcycle - the one true dirt bike that can do it all, a rugged, light weight chassis that maneuvers with agility yet handles with stability at the top of sixth gear. It is powered by a versatile engine that plonks through the slow stuff and berserks through the fast, these parameters describe the Can-Am 250 Qualifier, A specialized Enduro & ISDT bike that performs as though your dream bike images had served as its blueprints!
Please note before bidding: This bike is currently not in running
condition, the chain is missing & the kicker is broken so as it sits we are
unaware of the engines state…we have a massive backup in our service department
and our techs could not make it to this one so it will be sold as is…...our
loss your gain!

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show
Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
Wesll Quad Prototype
Mon, 09 Feb 2009A number of manufacturers have tinkered with various three-wheeled motorcycle applications over the years. Companies like Piaggio, Can-Am, Brudeli and even Harley-Davidson have produced unique trikes with ranging levels of success. The Wesll Corporation is attempting to do one better, literally, as it develops a four-wheeled mechanism that could be applied to many different kinds of bikes.
Can-Am Spyder RT-5 Highlight Video
Thu, 05 Nov 2009In September, Fonzie brought us a report on the 2010 Spyder RT direct from the Can-Am beehive in Valcourt, Quebec, Canada. With more carrying capacity than ANY motorcycle on the market — even some automobiles —- Can-Am sent touring guru and friend-of-MO, Fred Rau, on a tour of Canada and the United States to promote the new 5-speed luxury touring roadster. For those of you not following Fred’s blog @ SpyderFred.com, here’s a little taste of the scenes and opinions he encountered on his great many miles.
