Can-Am ST SE5 description

If you happen to be looking for a black, ST SE5, you will be very happy and very lucky if you win this bid.  I'm 60 years old, and have owned motorcycles all my life, up until 4 years ago.  My last bike was a BMW R 1200 RT.  I had one friend I rode with a few times a year, and four years ago he moved to Destin FL.  I didn't ride anymore, so I sold the RT.  This summer, my friend and I discussed riding to Key West.  As you can see from my feedback, I buy motorized vehicles quite often.  I had seen the Spyders, and had read about them, and started looking at them.  I justified the reason for purchasing one so I could make the ride to Key West with my friend (leaving from Destin).  I bought the Spyder in June, and have putted around my neighborhood and local streets with the goal of getting enough break-in miles to do the first service.  As often happens, other constraints on my time have greatly decreased the time I have had to ride.  And, in the past couple of weeks, I have taken on some new obligations (remodeling a house for my sister-in-law), and find that the trip to Key West is indefinitely post-poned.  So, since a Spyder takes up a car's worth of garage space, I have decided to sell it now while it is for all practical purposes still brand new.

The bike is an ST SE5, so you can just go the Can Am website to see what comes with it.  I bought it from Mountain Motorsports in Marietta GA.  They are a very large dealer, and have at least 50 Spyders in stock at any time.  I had never seen a black one in person, and none were on display.  This one was in the crate in a giant warehouse they use.  It was assembled for me, and I picked it up the day it was assembled.  No one has ever sat on it except the tech who prepped it, and me.  It is completely flawless in every way.  No scratches of any kind, no smudges, nothing.  It has been in my climate controlled garage since new.  I urge you to read my feedback closely.  No matter how clean I describe a vehicle I sell, the buyers are always amazed at the condition.  This bike is nicer than any you will find on a showroom, as it has not endured the many dreamers who come in and sit on bikes in a showroom.  There are no mechanical faults of any kind.  It is identical to the day I picked it up, except that it has been carefully waxed and has 267 miles.

So, that's the story.  I've never used a reserve price on Ebay, and this sale doesn't have one either.  If you win the bid, and when you come to get the bike you find something wrong with it that I didn't disclose, you don't have to take it.  Needless to say, that's never happened to me.  I live in Stone Mountain, GA, just outside Atlanta.   Winning bidder will need to pick the bike up from my house.  Payment is cashiers check only.

Good luck!  Opportunities like this don't come along often!

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.

Canadian company Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has an ongoing relationship with the National Hockey League (NHL), and it’s latest iteration has sports legends telling how much they like riding Can-Am Spyders. Well, not BRP has tapped six-time Stanley Cup champion Mark Messier to use his own special technique to reach out to potential riders.
