$32,000.00 original build (yes – I have almost every single receipt) and another $3,000.00 in additional parts and sorting time in this bike. Hand-built by professional builder with 20+ years experience. The bike is well-balanced, and great to ride, but could also just be a living room display bike, if that’s what you are interested in.

Every part and component is perfectly suited to the style of the bike. Attention to detail throughout with fantastic custom paint job and hand–fabrication. Lots of compliments and conversation around the bike whenever it's been out. The bike is well sorted, starts easily and is nicely tuned.

Not selling due to money issues, so please don’t waste my time - or yours – unless you are a serious buyer with money in-hand. I have set a low, but realistic reserve price for the bike. It could easily be a trailer queen show bike (that’s what it basically is). Two kids and two businesses have left me few opportunities to ride. The bike should be enjoyed, and after eight summers approximately 885 miles on it. I have the title in hand, and have had no problem with registration or insurance, as it is titled as a manufacturer Rolling Thunder.

The color is a rich burgundy. There is a small paint chip (1/8 inch) on the left lower downtube, and a gouge in the lower metal lip of the rear fender just above the chain path due to the chain scuffing it, but it’s hard to see unless you get up almost under the bike and are looking for it, as it is under the oil tank. I have a small bottle of the original paint for touch-ups. There is a tiny, hair-thin scratch on the front rim, and a very small nick (less than 1/8”) on the front fork downtube.

If you can see the bike in person, I highly recommend it. It is one of the most eye-catching and meticulously hand-crafted motorcycles I have ever seen. The paint job was featured in a book on custom painting techniques ( I have the book). I did not intend on buying this bike when I originally setup the appointment to see it, but simply wanted to meet the builder, and get a sense of the rider position of the bike, as I liked the look of its stance in the builder’s FOR SALE photo. I bought it the day I saw it in his shop. The bike has been photographed for a calendar.

Rolling Thunder Rigid Frame ….0 up, 0 degrees out (30 degree rake).

80 inch polished S&S bottom with Edelbrock heads (10:1 compression). Heads are hexagon shaped.

I have an additional Bates style 4 3/4” sealed beam headlight, but I like the larger 5 1/2” Bates style on it now. I also have a set of authentic WCC Hell Bent exhaust pipes ($800 new) that originally came on the bike. They are LOUD. The battery is new, and the tires treads are barely worn, but since the bike is rarely ridden, the tires have developed a bit of sidewall cracking.

I have attempted to describe the condition of the bike as accurately and completely as possible. I make no warranties --- this is a custom bike and is being sold as-is,where-is from both a safety and mechanical standpoint.

I will deliver the bike within 100 miles. I will help with shipping, but BUYER MUST arrange the shipping and PAY the shipper directly. I will deliver the bike anywhere in Albuquerque/Santa Fe for free and/or to any shipping dock in Albuquerque. Your shipper must pack the bike! Shippers will not insure the bike unless they pack it themselves, and you must pay for the insurance!

2013 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Report

The 22nd edition of the annual LA Calendar Motorcycle Show marked its return to the Queen Mary Seawalk Village in Long Beach, California with hometown boy Sam Baldi taking the Bike Building Championship’s Best of Show trophy with a Jimmy Todorovith/Profile Cycles built Big Twin custom named “Lost Angel.” This year’s Calendar Show showcased not only top builders but selected vendors and exhibitors, and of course the Calendar Girl Music live performances. And as always, this year’s show celebrated the world premiere of the 2014 FastDates.com Motorcycle PinUp Calendars, featuring the world’s top SBK World Superbikes, sport and cafe bikes, and custom motorcycles with the beautiful Calendar Kittens. On hand throughout the day to meet with fans and pose for pictures were Calendar Kittens Apple Price, together with official SBK World Superbike grid girls Jessica Harbour and singer/songwriter Sarah Horvath.

Custom Choppers for Allstate Insurance by Ness, Perewitz, Fairless Unveiled at Bike Week

Mega stars of the custom chopper world Arlen Ness, Dave Perewitz and Rick Fairless have each built a one-off custom motorcycle for Allstate Insurance Co. Each bike embodies themes representing Allstate’s involvement in the motorcycle community, like the company’s motorcycle awareness program called Once is Never Enough (ONE), which Fairless incorporated into his design.
