I am selling my red 2008 Ducati 848. I bought this bike new from Letko Cycles in March of 2008. All maintenance has been performed by Letko and Reno's. It has never been wrecked and only has light nicks and scratches from normal use. It has been garaged and adult ridden since new. It currently has 10,363mis. The bike is equipped with Termignoni slip on exhaust with the Ducati racing ECU and air filter. It has a Puig tinted race screen and will come with the Ducati rear wheel stand pictured. Also included in this listing is the rear seat and foot pegs and all factory items that have been removed. The bike was serviced and fitted with new Dunlop Q2 tires a little over 1K miles ago. Serious buyers only, no low ball offers please. I am not interested in any trades or help selling. No test rides unless I have cash in my hand. There is no lien on the bike and I have the title. Report: Ducati Sold to Audi for US$1.13 Billion

Reuters is reporting Audi has reached a deal with Investindustrial to acquire Ducati for a price of 860 million euros (US$1.13 billion). Citing two unnamed sources familiar with the deal, Reuters reports the purchase price includes Ducati‘s debts, estimated by one of those sources at below 200 million euros (US$262.6 million). As previously reported, the deal will be officially announced April 18, ahead of the annual shareholders meeting for Audi’s parent company, the Volkswagen Group.

To get everyone excited about the event, the boys from Bologna decided to have a little fun. Together with its factory MotoGP pilot, Nicky Hayden, and a cameo by Ruben Xaus, Ducati has filmed an exciting video to showcase what the bike can do.

Carlos Checa Tests Superbike-Spec 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale at World Ducati Week

Revellers at 2012 World Ducati Week got a surprise treat with defending World Superbike Champion Carlos Checa completing an unscheduled test of the WSBK-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale. The Althea Ducati racer has ridden the production version of the Panigale but this marked his first test of the WSBK-spec version. His maiden ride of the WSBK Panigale was supposed to take place at Mugello but instead Checa and Ducati decided to give the Ducatisti a treat at the Misano circuit for WDW.
