Ducati Sport Touring description

Simplifying my life, so I'm selling a number of toys/projects.  This is NOT a project, it is a complete bike in excellent running condition.  I would hop on this bike tomorrow to ride to CA if I wanted to, and have every confidence in a trouble free trip!

Bike has 18,600 + miles on it, plus because I am still riding it.  It is 100% stock with these exceptions.

  • Kaoki bar end cruise control/throttle lock
  • Foam grips
  • Aftermarket mirrors

Bike comes with full Fandango OEM panniers set-up installed on bike.  The brackets and panniers can be removed for more a naked bike look, but I leave the brackets on there all the time.  Bike has BRAND NEW (less than 300 miles on them) Michelin Sport Pilot 2 tires front and rear.  Professionally mounted and balanced.

Timing belts are due to be changed at 20,000 mikes, so still have about 1400 miles to go.  Included repair manual shows how to do it, very doable for a relatively handy home mechanic.  Otherwise mechanically in excellent condition, oil changed at 17,500.  Factory fuel injection works perfectly.

These extras are included:

  • Attached battery dongle for a battery tender, small trickle charger included.
  • Removable LINERS for panniers, very hard to find.
  • Two tail bags, one small for weekend trips, one big for extended trips, pictured sitting on bike but not attached, even though all straps are included.
  • Original mirrors are included , although both have busted bases from various incidents.  Bike was tipped over in my driveway onto right side, so there are a few minor scratches on the front fairing.  Bike currently has aftermarket mirrors as pictured.
  • extra set of key blanks for ignition key, need cutting.
  • small magnetic tank bag.
  • Kryptonite style lock mounted in factory bracket under seat

All lights, electronics and gauges work correctly, including the fuel gauge.

2014 WSBK – Portimao Results

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.

2014 WSBK – Misano Results

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes won both races at Misano to stretch his championship lead to 39 points as we pass the halfway mark of the 2014 World Superbike Championship. The reigning champion scored his third double-win round of the season while his teammate Loris Baz added a pair of second-place finishes. David Salom on the Kawasaki’s factory EVO entry was also the top rider in the new sub-class for both races to top off a strong weekend for the Team Green.
