Harley-Davidson FX description

1980 Harley FX custom. This is a beautiful older, '70s style, custom build with lots of nice detail and a very fast motor. It will spin the back tire. Has a new S&S carb and custom oil cooler/filter. Starts instantly and runs perfectly with no soft spots. I purchased this bike on ebay 5 years ago. I had the new S&S carburator installed as well as a custom external oil filter/cooler and new battery (about a year ago). Also had the bike completely gone through vis-a-vis electrical and tuning. So, it now starts and runs perfectly. The paint is the original beautiful custom silver leaf classic 70's style with only minor imperfections that are visible in the pictures. Rims and cover plates are beautiful dark burgundy (appears to be anodized) with what appears to be CNC machined detail.

Happy Birthday Elvis!

Fri, 08 Jan 2010

Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today.  As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).

AMA Ice Racing Grand Championship Adds Ice Moto Competition

Mon, 03 Feb 2014

If you’ve been paying attention around here, you’ll know that we love ice racing here on Motorcycle.com. Editors Troy Siahaan and Tom Roderick got a first-hand taste of ice racing last winter, and we got a real kick out of seeing racers Brad Baker, Jared Mees and Nichole Mees taking Harley-Davidson Street 750s onto ice during the Winter X Games. That’s why we’re looking forward to the American Motorcyclist Association Ice Racing Grand Championships, Feb.
