Harley-Davidson Other description

1958 Harley Hummer. I bought this from the original owners daughter. I have the original title from 1962. I have pictures of the original owner on the bike in the 70's. The man took the tins off to be painted, and died shorty after. It took the daughter two years to track down the parts, and fortunately the painter still had them, freshly painted. That was almost 20 years ago. Beautiful bike, 95% original.  Nice original cycle ray headlight, grips, levers, wheels, all in great shape. Amazing old leather bags are a little dry, but still look great. Tires were replaced some time ago, but look to be in great shape. Located in Norfolk VA. Buyer responsible for pick up, or arranging all shipping details.

I have not tried to get it running, but it has good compression.  The bike rolls, stops, and kicks over nicely. I think it would be an easy project to get running.

The parts that I sell are normally old crusty dirty original parts. They are rarely perfect. I am not an expert on everything, but I do my best to describe things as accurately as possible. If you think I have described something I error, or you want more pictures, please let me know.

Please look at the photos carefully. If there's something you'd like a closer look at, JUST ASK.

I appreciate positive feedback! If you have a concern, please contact me first!!! Negative, or neutral feedback will not resolve a problem, nor find the buyer receiving a refund. I always strive to help in any way I can and the Golden Rule applies. Respect and kindness are always reciprocated.

If you think I have overcharged you for shipping, this may be an oversight and I ask that you please let me know in a kind manner. PLEASE, I strive to maintain a near perfect status, so before you click that shipping was too expensive, determine if I miscalculated or if it is simply what the USPS service has charged me to ship your item! ~ IF you feel like I have overcharged you, please contact me. After all , I am human and I may have made an error! ~ Thank you

I am a one man operation, with a full time job other then ebay, and a family, so please be patient with me. I will do my best to answer questions and ship as quickley as possible.

I have many other vintage harley parts for sale, please look at my other listings.

2014 AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Championship On The Line At Pomona

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Granted, flat track racing isn’t our specialty at MO, but we’re no doubt fans of the action. See our coverage from the 2012 season finale for proof. The following is from an AMA Pro Racing press release: A total of 15 races over eight months couldn’t separate Jared Mees and Bryan Smith by much.

Airhawk Introduces DS Comfort Seating System For Dual Sport Bikes, Bikes With Narrow Seats

Fri, 16 May 2014

Airhawk, Inc., has introduced the DS Comfort Seating System, a cushion designed specifically for motorcyclists who ride dual sport bikes or bikes with narrower seats. Features of the DS cushion include a narrow front to match the seat profile of most dual sport/adventure bikes and bikes with narrow seats.  A tapered-down front minimizes unwanted pressure on the scrotum, and a heavy-duty hold-down strap system ensures a secure fit to the bike.  The DS also works well with narrow customized or aftermarket seats that have been installed for the purpose of getting the rider lower to the ground.

A Man of LOVE

Fri, 24 Oct 2008

I had a unique opportunity this week to sit down with Oliver Shokouh, the founder of the Love Ride, only days before the 25th anniversary of the purportedly largest one-day rally in the world, kicks-off this coming Sunday, October 26. First and foremost I’m very grateful for Oliver to set aside over half an hour of his precious time so close to the event. Not only does he head-up this massive event, he’s also busy running the very busy and successful Harley-Davidson/Buell of Glendale (California).
