I recently inherited a 1982 Harley Sturgis. What's cool about this bike is its highly collectible, and gains in value. The bike has a 1340cc shovel head motor with both electric and kick start. It runs and drives good, but does need a little work. Recently had a oil change, new oil filter, new fuel filter, various replaced hoses and a new crankshaft seal. It wouldn't hurt to give the bike a nice wipe down and tune up although, nothing major. There is another seal that needs replaced near the tranny i haven't got to yet. Only 17k miles on her. This bike is a head turner and gets a lot of looks due to people not seeing them very often. I'm open to cash offers but really looking to trade for a big dog or chopper of some sort. Harley Declares Women Riders Month
Tue, 10 Feb 2009Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.
