1983 Harley FXSB Shovelhead 1340cc Twin Belt Design, Electric and kick start... Im the second owner and have taken very good care of this bike for 28 years... Numbers matching frame motor transmission...Whats not stock is...The wide glide front end, custom paint, 5 gal tank, bob rear fender,10 inch apes with internal wiring, braided brake lines and oil lines, deluxe oil cooler, drilled discs (dual) front and rear, forward controls with new rings installed and completely rewired. The following are (new) battery, carb rebuild (CV) just had the 4 speed transmission refreshed along with the seals, primary belt, engine pulley dampers installed, clutch cable, 3 finger clutch hub replaced with 5 finger hub, spark plugs, oil and filter, oil breather filter, petcock, inline filter, oil tank mounts, rear shocks, straight pipes with heat wrap. The Tires (Dunlaps D 401) have under 400 miles on them... I replaced Speedos twice and kept records of the miles on the bike which is under 35,000 miles. The bike looks great not a single scratch on the paint, runs strong with quick throttle response and the transmission shifts faster and smoother than it ever did (thanks to Bill) They say the Sturgis FXB is a RARE Harley being offered for only 3 (80, 81, 82) years.. the FXSB Shovelhead Lowrider was only offered 2 years (83, 84) which makes the FXSB pretty rear in its own right...If not rarer... CARB Reveals 2014 Harley-Davidson Models, Including Some “Cool” Surprises
Fri, 16 Aug 2013The California Air Resource Board has issued executive orders on a number of 2014 Harley-Davidson models, revealing much of the Motor Company’s upcoming product lineup. While most of the models listed are familiar, the documents do reveal some gems including possible signs of the long-rumored new liquid-cooled Harley-Davidson engine. The first and least surprising reveal is the disappearance of the 1584cc Twin Cam 96 engine.
Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada
Mon, 30 Apr 2012A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
