WON'T LAST LONG.A stylishly stripped-down dresser, the Street Glide features lowered rear suspension, a smoked mini-wind deflector, and Tri-line LED lighting at the bottom of the rear fender for a low, lean profile. A traditional bat wing fairing holds a 40-watt Advanced Audio System by Harman/Kardon. A stretched, chrome fuel tank console and Streamliner footboards, brake pedal and passenger pegs finish the custom treatment. Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2012 Results
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson reported a profit of $134.0 million dollars over the third quarter of 2012. That represents a 27% decrease from the net profit of $183.6 million reported over the same quarter of 2011, but the drop was an expected result from a planned decrease in third quarter shipments as Harley-Davidson adopts an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manufacturing system at its York, Pa., factory. The Milwaukee company shipped 52,793 motorcycles in the three months ended Sept.
Harley-Davidson Consolidates Businesses in Spain, Portugal and Italy
Wed, 16 Oct 2013In response to the continuing economic struggles in southern Europe, Harley-Davidson announced it will combine its operations in Spain, Portugal and Italy into a single business unit to be called SPI Motor Company. Harley-Davidson says the new company, which officially begins operating immediately, will be better positioned to respond to the challenges of the market. The new company will be led by Regional Managing Director of Operations Yves-Olivier Allamagny, formerly the director of Harley-Davidson Italy.
