Harley-Davidson Softail description

You are bidding on a 1998 Softail Custom with only 10k original miles. I bought the bike from the original owner completely stock. Never wrecked, dropped or repainted, this bike has always been stored inside and kept up to date on all services. Since owning the bike I have installed a few parts to change up the look of the motorcycle like:

Vance and hines exhaust, Harley polished slotted rear wheel, Burly adj lowering kit, 1" chrome HD risers and clamp, 12" Khrome werks handlebars, rear chrome pulley cover, Joker machine tail light and turn signals, screaming eagle carb kit, and a set of JB brake grips.

Bike was just serviced in Aug and only has about a 1000 miles on it since. Oil, Primary and Trans fluids were changed and spark plugs replaced. Rear tire was also changed at that time with a new factory HD Dunlop. front tire still has tons of life, not sure when it was changed but it isn't the original one according to the previous owner. Battery is less than a year old as well.

I personally took this bike on a 600 mile ride 3 weeks ago with absolutely zero problems and when I returned I haven't placed another mile on it. Nor will the mileage increase while the bike is listed. The reason for the sell is that I have bought another one and I don't have room for two motorcycles. Not hurting to sell so low offers will not be taken serious, however if you have any questions please feel free to message me or call (501)259-6828. Bike is in outstanding shape for its age, look at the pictures closely and you'll see for yourself, frame is mint, motor isn't flaking, master cylinder isn't peeling, hardware isn't rusted or corroded. Keep in mind that this bike is nearly 16 years old but I have seen dealers selling used Harleys that are only a year or two old not look as clean as this thing is, so please feel free to ask any and all questions, you will not be disappointed. Finding a clean factory painted Evo is becoming harder and harder, so don't hesitate, this bike is what real Big Twin Harley's are about, and heres your chance to get on one for less than the price of an used sportster.

Thanks for Looking and Good Luck!!!

Marlon Brando Estate Files Suit Against Harley-Davidson

Tue, 17 May 2011

Brando Enterprises, an operating entity that protects the Marlon Brando brand on behalf of the actor’s family, has filed a lawsuit against Harley-Davidson. The suit alleges Harley-Davidson used the legendary actor’s name without a license for a leather riding boot called “The Brando”. “It is interesting that Harley-Davidson – a company that is vigorously protective of its own brand – would seek to exploit an iconic property without benefit of a licensing agreement,” says  Jeffrey I.

Owner of Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson Found in Japan

Wed, 02 May 2012

Harley-Davidson representatives in Japan have identified the owner of the motorcycle lost in last year’s tsunami but later found on a remote beach in Canada. The 29-year-old owner, Ikuo Yokoyama, lives in Yamamoto, Japan, in Miyagi Prefecture, the region hardest hit by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Yokoyama survived the disaster but lost three family members and is still living in temporary accommodations.
