Harley-Davidson Softail description

I bought this bike 3 years ago from a man who just divorced his wife. This was her bike and was in perfect stock condition. They always kept it garaged and I have continued to do so. When I purchased it it had 19,000 miles on it and it's now up to 25,000. The engine is completely stock and has always run perfect! It has never been apart or repaired in any way. It does not smoke, leak oil or make any funny noises. It's fuel injected and fires right up. All routine maintenance has been done by the local HD dealer. The rest of the bike I have completely customized over the last year. I purchased new beach bars, new white LaPera seat, new Samson true dual fishtail exhaust. They have no baffels so are loud but have a great rap when you let off the throttle! New Ride Wright wheels with stainless steel twisted spokes, new Avon tires, new stainless rotors, new chrome brake calipers, new chrome hand controls, new braided stainless cables, new chrome inner primary, not the cheap chrome cover. $3000 in polished stainless steel hardware/nuts and bolts, axles etc, new chrome fork legs, new headlight nacelle, new chrome rear pulley (again not a cover). The list goes on and on. Anything that is not stock on the bike was bought new over this last year. If you have ever priced out how much the items on this bike cost, you have a good idea how much money has been done in upgrades. Save yourself the time and money and buy this one already done. The only problem with the bike is a nick and some lite scratches on the rear fender and lower right gas tank (see pictures). No dents. I was planning on painting the bike black but ended up loving the blue with the whitewall tires. No expense has been spared. The front and back have been lowered 2 inches. Comes with new floor boards that I never got around to installing as well. There's way to much to list so look at the pictures closely. If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures, please let me know. You can also feel free to see the bike in person. Offered with no reserve. The first bidder could take it home! I live in the Murrieta, California area between San Diego and LA. I still owe $4000 on it so at the end of the auction I need to pay off the bank and then sign the title over to you. Thanks for looking....

Motorcycle Buying Tips For Women

Fri, 17 May 2013

Over the past few years, especially since the height of the economic crisis, more and more women have turned to motorcycling both as a way to save on fuel costs, but also to experience the joys of the open road. In an article recently published by Consumer Reports, some tips are provided for women looking to enter the sport for the first time. The first bit of advice is to “Sit on a lot of different bikes first,” says Angela Annamalai of Shelby’s Powersports in Bronx, New York.
