Harley-Davidson Softail description

2002 Harley Davidson FatBoy.  The motocycle has 13,514 miles and has always been garaged, never laid down, and has NEVER seen rain, road salt or snow.  I have only ridden this bike on sunny days and warm temperatures, I'm not a cold weather or rain rider.  Bike was trailered only once in an enclosed trailer to Florida for some nice ocean riding through the Keys.  The paint code is "Real Red" and is listed under the gas tank.  This is NOT a "fire bike" as I've been asked many times.  I changed ALL fluids recently including the fork oil.  I do the oil changes myself, had primary and forks done by dealer.  Mechanically the bike is 100% factory with no alterations.  I don't believe any alterations I would do would be better than what the Harley designers could build and I like dependability so I don't tinker.  I have added Leather Pro hardside leather wrapped saddle bags that are quick release.  When off the bike there is only a 1 inch chrome post left and no brackets so it can be ridden and look good with OR without the bags!  The bags are AWESOME, so strong you can even stand on them as shown in their advertisement.  Bike has a Switchblade quick release locking windshield as well.  Bike can be ridden fully dressed OR be stripped down quickly and ridden around the city and looks awesome.  Bike has chrome handlegrips, and chrome axle covers.  Vance and Hines long shot pipes, nice deep throaty sound without being obnoxiously loud. I have added red hidden lights among the frame that can be on or off for night riding.  I installed new Avon tires that have about 1,000 miles on them at most.  I am the second owner and purchased the bike with under a 1,000 miles on it from a friend.  The bike has been adult owned and ridden and maintained and needs absolutely NOTHING!  No rust, chips, dings, nothing.  The bike is beautiful, PERFECT mechanically and ready to ride across country!  I am only selling it because I am moving from Ohio to Florida and need to finish a restoration on a Corvette so need the money for that purpose.  This bike is beautiful and perfect in every way!  I've included as many pictures as I can to capture the bike in general but if there is anything in particular you would like to know please don't hesitate to ask!  I can not arrange delivery of the bike so you would have to handle picking the bike up after purchase.

New Harley-Davidson Sportster for India to Use 500cc V-Twin

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

When Harley-Davidson first entered the Indian market, The Motor Company decided to import existing models as complete knockdown kits for final assembly in the burgeoning market. Considering the average motorcycle in India has a displacement smaller than 200cc, it was inevitable Harley-Davidson would eventually have to produce a small-displacement model rather than rely on its existing product line which currently lists the 883cc sportsters as its smallest bikes. Despite a denial last May by Harley-Davidson India’s Managing Director Anoop Prakash, it now appears Harley-Davidson is set to announce a new small-displacement model to be produced in India at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo next February.
