Harley-Davidson Softail description

I'm selling my 2010 Fat Boy Lo. I am the second owner and have added many things to the bike to make it really stand out amongst the other bikes.

The bike is vivid black in color, has 4,500 miles, factory security system, and runs flawlessly.

I have the original manual, two keys and FOBs (bike has factory security system), and folder with all service records since I've purchased it. (I bought the bike in mid/late 2011)

(dealer installed) Parts-added include:

BUB exhaust
HD smoked smoked lenses
Smoked tail-light
HD quick detachable luggage rack and sissy bar ($200)
HD Black Lower Fork Sliders ($420 plus another $350 to install = $770)
HD Black Fin Timer Cover ($25)
HD Screamin' Eagle Performance Air Cleaner ($250)
HD Screamin' Eagle EFI Super Tuner, S.E. ($460) and HD Dealer Dyno Tuned
HD Brawler seat ($200)
HD Brawler Passenger Pillion ($140)
HD Diamond Black Grips ($80)
HD Diamond Black Footpegs ($90)
Black brake levers
JD Old No 7 Brand Derby Cover
JD Old No 7 Brand Valve Stem Caps
Leather Swing-Arm Bag
Lay-Back License plate mount
(Well over $2200 in additional parts)

Original parts will also come with the bike with the exception of the factory seat/exhaust/brake levers as I no longer have those.

Bike had its last oil change at the HD dealer with 3181 miles.

About the bike:

The Fat Boy Lo is a Harley-Davidson Softail® model with a rear-suspension design that mimics the lines of a vintage hardtail frame, but offers the comfort of modern suspension that is hidden under the chassis. A horseshoe oil tank located below the seat, forward foot controls or foot boards, and the classic five-gallon Fat Bob® fuel tank are notable styling details of each Softail model.

A counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B™ V-Twin powertrain, rigid-mounted in the frame, powers the Fat Boy Lo model. The rigid powertrain allows tight packaging of the engine within the frame. Rated at 93.67 ft. lbs. of peak torque at 3000 rpm, the engine features Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) and is finished in black powdercoat with bright machined highlights on the cylinder fins, and satin-chrome engine and primary drive covers. The 6-Speed Cruise Drive® transmission features a new helical-cut fifth gear for smooth operation.

Non-refundable $500 deposit due at time of auction end.

A Seattle Seahawks-Themed Motorcycle. Why? Because Football. And Charity.

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

With the return of football season upon us (that’s American football for our international readers), we thought it best to feature, what else, but a motorcycle. In this particular case, it’s a Seattle Seahawks-themed custom based on a 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King, the same year the Hawks made it to the Super Bowl. The man behind the custom, award-winning bike builder and Seattle resident, Keith Wong, was approached by Patrick ‘PT’ Town, the founder and executive director of Union Ride & Charity Rally - a charity event to raise money for several non-profits including Northwest Harvest, A.N.E.W., Helmets to Hardhats and the Awareness, Education and Prevention of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) in Youth Football.

Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.
