Harley-Davidson Softail description

You are bidding on a 2012 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail blue in color (Big Blue Pearl w/ pinstrips) with less than 25k miles. Motorcycle is like new condition with no damage or crashes. As seen in the photographs the HD comes with all factory purchased options. Majority of the milage is from cross country traveling from Missouri to California. HD has new front and back tires including new rear breaks. All maintiance is up to date and completed at Denney's HD of Springfield.

Reason for selling is due to personal health issues. I also have an extended warranty available for purchase if your interested. If extented warranty is not purchased, you can not purchase one at a later time from HD. Also available is two (2) XL helmets and one medium for an additional $100.

HD is financed through my local bank. Winning bidder will receive a bill of sale and title which I have in hand. A lean release will also be provided once payment clears and provided by bank.

Harley-Davidson Hires ex-GM Engineer Federico

Harley-Davidson has hired a former General Motors engineer and executive, most recently recognized for leading the automaker’s internal investigation of its ignition switch fiasco that resulted in a recall of 2.6 million vehicles. Jim Federico retired from GM on May 5 after working in various roles with the company over nearly four decades, most recently as executive director of global vehicle integration. Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.

The government of India has laid out its budget for 2013-2014, increasing the import duty for large motorcycles. The news will impact several major manufacturers hoping to gain a stake in the world’s second largest motorcycle market. The new 2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two is expected to be announced at the company’s winter dealer meeting next month, and it may not be alone. Newly released documents from the CARB reveal the Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two among the company’s 1200cc Sportster offerings alongside the Forty-Eight, 1200 Custom and Nightster.
