Harley-Davidson Sportster description

No reserve auction. This is a 1966 Harley Davidson Sportster XLCH 900cc. I saved it from an elderly mans garage where it has sat since 2013. I'm unsure if it was ridden until then or not. It had paperwork from a shop for work that was done in 2013 when they put on new tires and performed a tune-up. When I got it he would not attempt to start it. When I got it home I put fresh gas in it, fixed a wire that was touching the oil tank, and after many kicks it fired and ran, and stayed running. It did not smoke, and sounded good. I have not made any further attempt to start it or ride it. I cannot make any promises when it comes to the reliability of this bike, or the condition of the motor, transmission, or brakes. Obviously there has been changes made to this motorcycle. There are things that are not original, but everything done looks like it was done quite some time ago. It has a two-up Mustang seat, forks from around I'm guessing a 1979, chrome steel wheels instead of aluminum, and the wrong fuel tank. I do have a correct fuel tank and a correct buddy seat to go with the bike. I have a good Ohio title in my name that matches the number on the motor. These frames did not have serial numbers back then. The frame has not been cut or raked which is actually rare for these bikes as well. When it started the headlight worked and the brake light worked. This is a no reserve auction and the winning bidder will be required to pick it up in Uniontown Ohio 44685 within one week of auctions end. I will not ship the motorcycle, but if you would like to ship it you will be fully responsible for everything involved. A deposit of $250 will be required through paypal when the auction ends, and the remainder can only be paid by cash. I will accept a bank check (no personal checks) however the funds must clear and be in my account before the bike can be removed from my property. Again, no reserve auction, no guarantees on anything (it's a 1966) and if you would like to see the bike in person prior to bidding please just ask and I will do my best to accommodate you. If you would like a short video of the bike running you can text me at 412-304-2094 and I will send it to you. I have a clear title in my name that show unknown miles.
