Selling my 1997 Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 w a lot of custom parts.

Mods and parts:
Poughco Fat Bob tank ($400)
Screamin Eagle Stage one intake setup ($500)
Newer Basani equal exhaust w heat wrap ($800)
Custom painted to match tank ($600)
High rise Eagle bars, chrome grips and all pegs ($400)
Candy Red Paint ($600)
Lowered 2 inches but can be put back to stock
Mustang custom seat ($175)
Engine rebuilt 7k miles ago, all stock except Buell cams ($250)
Chrome hard grips and custom switches
+6 inch stainless braided clutch, brake and throttle cables ($150)

Sissy bar is off but can be put back on
All chrome is absolutely brilliant with no flaking or pitting anywhere!!!

The bad:
A couple chips on rear fender
Hairline crack on speedo face
Could use a back tire

Not quite a show bike but definitely not just a sportster, draws attention everywhere!!!

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.

Harley-Davidson Extends UFC Sponsorship; UFC 164 Added to 110th Anniversary Celebrations

Harley-Davidson has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The new agreement will see the mixed martial arts company hold its UFC 164 event Aug. 31 in Milwaukee’s Bradley Center during Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebrations over the Labor Day weekend.

Harley-Davidson Delivers Strong Growth For Fourth Quarter And For Full Year

Harley-Davidson released today its fourth quarter financial statements, revealing the company’s fourth-quarter income from continuing operations was $70.6 million on consolidated revenue of $1.17 billion, compared to 2011 income from continuing operations of $54.6 million on consolidated revenue of $1.18 billion. Fourth-quarter 2012 earnings per share were $0.31, up 29.2% compared to EPS of $0.24 in the year-ago quarter. For the full year, Harley-Davidson income from continuing operations was $623.9 million on consolidated revenue of $5.58 billion, compared to full-year 2011 income from continuing operations of $548.1 million on consolidated revenue of $5.31 billion.
