Harley-Davidson Touring description

You are bidding on a 2008 Road King Classic with an outrigger trike set up. 6 gallon tank. 96cin / 1584cc. Fuel injected with electric start. 6 speed transmission.  The trike kit is removable.  The rear wheel of the bike stays on the ground and still powers the bike.  The wheels on the trike kit just spin freely.  The difference between this kit set up and other ones on the market, is that the wheels are so large on this kit that the bike actually looks like a trike!  Even from the back it is hard to tell that the bike is still powered by it's own rear wheel. This kit actually sits outside of the stock saddle bags.  Giving the whole set up a very wide stance and the saddle bags are still easily accessible. Another advantage to this system is that it can easily be removed, giving you the option to go without it when you want to.

The bike it self has a front and rear lowering kit installed. The front end has been totally chromed out (Forks) and the windshield has been custom chopped. This bike comes with the HD sissy bar.

The trike kit is simply bolted to the frame of the bike.  No drilling or welding and it can easily be unbolted.  The kickstand has been taken off to fit the trike kit, but it easily bolts right back on also.  The kit is very stable even at high speeds. Even though this bike has been babied, I have gotten it up to 100mph with the kit on there, one time, just to see how it would handle.  I certainly wouldn't turn at that speed, but just going straight it did not bounce or vibrate. In turns, the kit flexes a little and in a real hard turn one of the wheels will come off the ground, but it is so wide that the whole set up holds the turn.  There is no reverse but I can effortlessly push it backwards out of fairly level parking spaces, even with a passenger already mounted.  The fenders on the trike kit were custom painted by the famous artist TOMMY CASTILLO. He has sold similarly designed art work on canvas for $8,000. The kit it self was $2800 without the custom paint. With the trike kit, lowering kits, chrome, sissy bar, windshield, etc. I have over $10,000 invested in this bike over top of buying it new off the showroom floor.

If you are the winning bidder, I will take a $1000 deposit within 48 hours after the close of the auction via Paypal, and the remainder in the form of a cashiers check or cash when you pick up the bike.  Plan to pick up the bike in Roswell GA within 15 days of the close of the auction.  I can consider delivering the bike within 150 miles for an additional $300 fee.

Barry Strang’s story is a tragic case of being careful what you wish for. Since they were newlyweds, Strang would ask his wife, Pam, if he could get a motorcycle. Fearful of the dangers involved, she said no.
