Numerous custom touches and performance that distinguish the Anniversary Editions from other Harleys. The Twin Cam 110 with Screamin' Eagle engine produces explosive power with the 6 speed transmission. The Screamin' Eagle engine badges are for the true connoisseurs of the road, Harley design and engineering. Individually crafted and hand-finished paint and graphics create a one-of-a-kind custom motorcycle. The 110th Anniversary CVO has a custom power train finish and custom seating with exclusive seat inserts. The anniversary gas tank medallion is found only on the 110th Anniversary CVO. The 2013 CVO has the new slipstream collection controls, heated handgrips, gear ship pegs, footboard inserts, brake pedal, highway pegs. Heated saddle with dual controls for the operator and passenger. Color matched wraparound LEP Running and Brake Taillight. Additional taillight has been added to the luggage rack for better visibility. The signal lights have been rewired to activate the wraparound running lights when turning. The study measures the overall satisfaction of motorcyclists with their new helmet in three key factors: ventilation, face shield, and design and styling; which consist of 11 attributes: quietness; ventilation/air flow; de-fogging; face shield ability to keep wind out; face shield ability to resist scratching; ease of replacing face shield; scratch resistance of shell; color/graphic design; weight; ease of fastening the strap; and fit and comfort.
Harley-Davidson Hires ex-GM Engineer Federico
Thu, 08 May 2014Harley-Davidson has hired a former General Motors engineer and executive, most recently recognized for leading the automaker’s internal investigation of its ignition switch fiasco that resulted in a recall of 2.6 million vehicles. Jim Federico retired from GM on May 5 after working in various roles with the company over nearly four decades, most recently as executive director of global vehicle integration. Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.

Now the new Harley-Davidson Riding Academy is the only national rider training program hosted by Harley-Davidson dealerships and conducted on an all-new Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Since its inception in 2000, Harley-Davidson’s rider training program has successfully trained more than 350,000 new riders with a premium Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF)-approved rider training experience that guides students on their journey from the classroom to the street with an emphasis on building student confidence on their road to independence.
