Harley-Davidson Touring description

This Beautiful RoadGlide Ultra came to us on a New Ford F150 Trade in. It is in Like new condition! Awesome Vivid Black paint with the stunning silver pinstripe to enhance the flowing lines of this bagger. It has a few options other than stock, Highway pegs, cup holder, rear saddle bag lights, Harley Hammock seat with drivers back rest and Vance & Hines exhaust. Also standard cruise control, along with the Rushmore treatment that includes the Boom! Box 6.5GT color touch screen with GPS and Bluetooth, plus a 100-watt sound system with four 5.25-inch speakers. The touch screen is mounted in the inner fairing. The whole infotainment system also can be controlled by twin joysticks at each grip. Adding to the convenience are two rubber-lined storage cubbies with damped lids and a single USB port, plus easy-to-use One-Touch hard saddlebags. The exhaust note is recognizably Harley but not overly loud, and although the liquid-cooled cylinder heads allow for a higher compression ratio and 10.7 percent more peak torque, Milwaukee doesn’t give out specific horsepower figures. But available power and torque are good for this claimed 916-pound-wet touring bike. In addition to allowing for higher output, another benefit of Twin Cooling is reduced radiant heat, appreciated at red lights and the construction delays we encountered that day. Similarly impressive is the new fairing, which has Dual Reflector Daymaker LED headlamps, a tall 13.5-in. windscreen, and triple split-screen venting designed to pressurize the cockpit area and thereby eliminate head buffeting. Because the fairing is frame-mounted, there is no ill effect on the steering of the bike, which exhibits great straight-line stability and a willingness to bend into highway sweepers with good composure.

2010 Sportster Forty-Eight [video]

Mon, 25 Jan 2010

Watching the promo videos that Harley-Davidson puts out does get me pumped.  Harley does however really seem to reinforce the stereotype of a typical Harley rider, I’m not sure if I am cool enough but the new Sportster Forty-Eight looks great!  Harley could use some positive feedback after they announced their Q4 results… Get the Flash Player to see this player. The 2010 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight retails for $10,499 for the black version, $10,789 for the silver or orange. Click here for more info.

Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle

Fri, 31 Jul 2009

I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl.  He’s amazingly talented and very driven.  Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson.  The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.
