Harley-Davidson Touring description

1984 Harley-Davidson FLH-80 Belt Drive Shovelhead Up for sale I have a 1984 Harley-Davidson FLH-80 motorcycle. This bike is 90% original , except for the carburetor, pipes and paint. This is a RARE find on a LAST YEAR Shovelhead FLH in this condition, with only 20,500 original miles !! This is a great running bike with the 1340cc Shovelhead engine, four gear transmission and final belt drive . This bike starts, runs and drives excellent, and the transmission shifts normally for a bike of this era. There are no oil leaks and the bike has no major mechanical problems to note. It has newer Dunlop tires and the brakes work properly. This bike retains all of the original parts, except it has an S&S Super E carburetor, straight fishtail exhaust pipes and a black pearl paint job. I have the original carburetor and air cleaner, which will go along with the bike. In fact, the only thing missing on the entire bike is the saddlebag guard rails, which are available in the aftermarket world for around $150.00.This bike is pretty much unmolested and has all of the original turn signals, fairing and windshield, saddlebags and front and rear crash bars still on it. It even has all of the original frame decals!! It has the original seat, passenger handrail and luggage rack. The wiring is pretty much all original as well, with the exception of some minor modifications that were made by the previous owner to the rear turn signal lamp wires during the painting process. The bike has been painted a very nice black pearl, but I do have a set of OEM gas tank decals and "Belt Drive" decals for the front fender, should someone want to have the paint put back to stock, or just put the decals on the existing paint job and clear over them. This bike would make a VERY easy restoration project, as most all of the existing parts are original and in very like-new condition for the age of the bike. Or, just enjoy the bike just as it is! Note: I have tried to describe this vehicle to the best of my ability and knowledge. I will not be held responsible for any unforeseen, underlying or subsequent problems that may occur after the sale. This vehicle is being sold as-is, with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. Please ask questions BEFORE bidding!!
