The Ultra is also built on the same chassis as the new Touring Street Glide CVO, rolling on the Roulette wheel Harley - 17-inch front, 16-inch rear - with the same 130/180 Dunlops you will find the Fat Bob. In addition to the standard CVO color matching frame and swingarm, Ultra comes with matching colors and equipped with LED-Tour-Pak integrated with brake and tail lamps and push-button on the underside of the LED to light up into the saddle bag. Switching from incandescent lamps to LED taillights not only offers bright lamps but also frees the storage capacity in the Tour-Pak. Harley-Davidson Consolidates Businesses in Spain, Portugal and Italy

In response to the continuing economic struggles in southern Europe, Harley-Davidson announced it will combine its operations in Spain, Portugal and Italy into a single business unit to be called SPI Motor Company. Harley-Davidson says the new company, which officially begins operating immediately, will be better positioned to respond to the challenges of the market. The new company will be led by Regional Managing Director of Operations Yves-Olivier Allamagny, formerly the director of Harley-Davidson Italy.

Next year’s Sturgis Buffalo Chip will once again feature the Student Build Challenge. The bike build project is a collaboration between the Sturgis Buffalo Chip, Sturgis Brown High School, Black Hills Harley-Davidson, Terry Components, Dakota V-Twin and a large group of industry-leading parts sponsors. The program provides the opportunity for Sturgis Brown High School students to learn from leading motorcycle industry professionals in order to create a one-of-a-kind custom motorcycle from a stock Harley-Davidson.

2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Champion Chris Fillmore

Chris Fillmore of Oxford, Mich., has won the 2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Championship. Fillmore ended the season on a victorious note, winning the 2011 AMA Pro Road Racing season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The Bruce Rossmeyer/Geico racer finished the season with five wins and eight podium appearances in nine races in the Harley-Davidson XR1200 spec racing series.
