This is the STREETROD model VRSCR made in 2006. It is the closest thing that you can get to
the VR1000 race bike Harley came out with years ago. 1130cc water-cooled
V-Twin with 120 hp stock. I added the following items to change it to
my liking. Bar end mirrors, oil stick with analog temp gauge, a
Glowshift 2" water temp gauge with 7 color changeable display, DanMoto 2
into 1 exhaust system, V&H Fuelpak model 61005b, K&N high flow
air filter. Stock exhaust is included in deal at no extra cost. The
exhaust system drop almost 30 lbs from stock which help when your bike
weighs over 650 lbs stock. Sounds great, very fast and unique look. The STREETROD has the mid controls and steeper raked forks over all other
VRODS which makes it ride like a sport bike. I had the bike for a couple years
and hate to part with it. Adult owned and ridden I am the second owner. Less than 13,000 miles. Black w Silver accents and lots of shiny chrome and aluminum parts. US Motorcycle Sales First Half 2011 Results
Thu, 28 Jul 2011The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .
Bob Probert’s Last Ride [video]
Wed, 14 Jul 2010The former NHL Detroit Red Wing and Chicago Blackhawks tough guy, Bob Probert, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 after suffering chest pains while boating with his family. Probert was arguably the all time greatest NHL fighter but also had great skills, leadership qualities and a big heart. He was taken to his final destination on a Harley-Davidson sidecar before about 1,000 mourners. Probert was 45 years old on his passing, he leaves behind his wife Dani, son Jack and two daughters, Brogan and Tierney. A news clip and some Probert highlights after the jump.
Three-Year-Old Motorcycle Prodigy?
Tue, 18 Aug 2009Even though Tiger woods started paying golf at age two, this story of a three-year-old boy from New Delhi, India is probably just as impressive, maybe more. Azeem Khan, photographed on the Royal Enfield Bullet above, has been granted a special license by judges in India allowing him to ride his motorcycle on side roads but is not allowed out on the main roads by himself. Khan’s father had to customize the bike so that the young boy could reach the controls and prove that he could handle the motorcycle on his own. I used to sit him on my bike and he would always grab at the controls.
