1971 Honda Cb on 2040-motos
Honda CB tech info
Honda CB description
1971 honda cb500. Bike was a barn find that had not ran since 1983. Since coming into my possession it has received a rebuilt transmission, rebuilt carburators, and petcock, new front master cylinder, new clubman bars, and new slip on mufflers. Bike was equiped with aftermarket headers, aftermarket cam, and heavy duty aftermarket clutch when I bought it. Bike runs and rides perfect, everything works as it should including all lights, horn, electric start, ect. Seat is original and in perfect condition. Tank and side covers are not original, they are off a 74 cb550 but fit and mount like the originals. Tank has been cleaned and coated and is free of dents. Title to bike was lost long ago. I have a bill of sale from the person i bought it from and will include one of my own. If sold in Illinois a provisional title can be obtained for 50 dollars with bill of sale and is good for 3 years. At which time a clean title would be issued to the owner. Bike can be licensed and ridden with the provisional title as well. Bike is a great project and very fun to ride and is pretty fast to. Would be a real head turner with a fresh paint job. Please feel free to ask any questions. Bike is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early. Thanks for looking.

2014 WSBK – Assen Results
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.
Ben Bostrom Events
Fri, 05 Jul 2013Ex-racer Ben Bostrum might have stopped competing on motorcycles, but he hasn't given up his passion for two wheels. He's teamed up with motorsports promoter M1 to create Ben Bostrom Events, a company that plans to host world-class cycling and running races across the US. According to a press release, the high-intensity events will feature an 'entertainment-filled atmosphere', combining many of the familiar elements found at other MOB (mud, obstacles, beer) racing events.
Rumored 2013 Honda CBR500, CB500 Captured in Spy Photos
Wed, 12 Sep 2012Spy photos have emerged out of Thailand depicting two new Honda motorcycles reputed to be a new CBR500 and a second, naked version, possibly to be named a CB500. The photos were posted on the CBR250.net forum by someone claiming to have inside knowledge of the new 500cc Honda models which would be produced in Thailand where the CBR250R is currently manufactured. The faired version is equipped with dual headlights like the Honda CBR600RR instead of the VFR1200-derived Y-shaped light used on the CBR250R and its smaller siblings the CBR125R and CBR150 offered in some markets.
